Quality Control Research Associate

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to perform Quality Control analytical testing and contribute to operational laboratory activities. This position reports to the Manager of Quality Control.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical testing of finished product and development samples.
  • Maintain accurate lab notebooks in a timely manner, following good documentation practices.
  • Conduct stability studies, including sample set up, writing protocols and reports.
  • Participate in laboratory investigations and OOT/OOS investigations.
  • Troubleshoot assay and instrumentation issues as necessary.
  • Assist in development and validation of test methods.
  • Assist with pickup, packaging and shipping of manufactured products on a daily basis.
  • Maintain sample product inventory and documentation of inventory.
  • Perform overall lab support functions including maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, ordering and maintaining inventory of reagents and lab supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.  

Requirements:

  • BA/BS preferably in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biological Sciences
  • At least 5 years of industrial experience, preferably in a Quality Control GMP pharmaceutical environment.
  • Excellent analytical laboratory skills/techniques.
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to multitask under tight timelines.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • General computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of standard laboratory equipment such as pH meters, KF titrators, loss on drying, UV/Vis, HPLC and GC.
  • Experience with enzyme assays and ELISA is preferred.
